Elaina is the other author of the "100 Good Wishes" book. I found out about the book when she talked about it on the Fuling site...Elaina's daughter (who is on the cover of the book) is from the same orphanage as Lillie!

Elaina Fielder
Elaina is the other author of the "100 Good Wishes" book. I found out about the book when she talked about it on the Fuling site...Elaina's daughter (who is on the cover of the book) is from the same orphanage as Lillie!
Traci Sharpton
Dean and Cyndi James
Jessica Owens
Jessie is our school TRT (Technology Resource Teacher). She is one of the funniest, most sincere people I know and I am so glad that what started as a part time gig during her high school years turned into a full time job once she graduated from College. I know that Jessie will not only teach Lillie to be more technology savvy than her mommy, but she will also teach her to love life!
Connie McVicker
Connie is a dear friend...a wonderful teacher...and camp counselor extraordinaire! She and I have known each other since our early days of teaching, have vacationed together, and have been through some pretty stressful situations together. I am thankful for her friendship and support and look forward to taking Lillie out to her families farm for some down and dirty fun!

Aunt Nancy and Uncle Lonnie
Rebecca Smith
Rebecca is a cousin and freind. Although we are related by marriage (we share an aunt and uncle), she and I have played together since we were young children. I can't remember birthday parties without her! The square that she sent is actually from a quilt HER grandmother, Evelyn made. I think it is so special that love sewn into a quilt two generations ago will now be part of Lillie's quilt!
Neva and Charles Whitley
Neva and Charles ( Nema and Peepaw) are another set of Lilllie's grandparents! They are my best friend Amy's mom and dad and Neva is my mother's first cousin. Neva and Charles have been wonderfully supportive and stay as informed about Lillies arrival as Ava's arrival. They are a blessing to me...and to Lillie!
Andrea Adkins
Andrea is another teacher at the Village and, unfortunately for her, had to answer her first year to the title " The Other Andrea". She has now established herself and is her own person and teacher. I am thankful for her dedication to the children and for her constant support to me. Her encouragement of others is a gift!
Loren Taylor
Amy and John Gray (and baby Ava)
Linda Robinson
Linda is our music teacher extrordinaire...and a good friend. She helps the children at our school find a love and appreciation for music and I hope she will help me do the same for Lillie. The square she donated is just like one she used when making a quilt for her grand daughter. What a special gift.
Jenoys Usher
Jenoys is a Fuling parent...and was at the SWI the day Lillie was left. She was one of the first people to meet her and was the one to help me find the pictures on the group site. I will be forever greatful to Jenoys and the rest of the team for the pictures of Lillie at 4 days old...and for being part of the earliest people in her life to love her unconditionally.
Kate and Ginny Northcott
These two squares were so special to receive. Kate and I met over a year ago to talk about adoption. I met Gin Gin that day, and she said to me "Andrea, your baby is in China!". Little did any of us know how right Ginny's words were. As soon as Lillie and I were matched, I emailed Kate...only to find out that Ginny and Lillie are from the same Social Welfare Institute! I love that Ginny picked out her fabric herself!
Wendy Lakes
Donna McDermott
Donna was truly the first person to contribute a square for Lillie's quilt. Donna is our Reading Specialist at the Early Learning Village and is a good friend. I am so thankful for this piece, and for the significance the material played in the life of Donna's daughter. It is the same material from which her Confirmation Dress was made. I love that faith plays such an important role in this quilt piece...especially knowing that faith will be an important part of Lillie's life.
Marilyn and Jerre Johnson
What an exciting gift... a square from one of the "Hillcrest Origionals". Marilyn and Dad went to school together in Nigeria when they were young and have remain in touch with one another throughout the years. It means so much to have somone who was so important to my father at a young age (and now) be part of welcoming Lillie to the family.

Brenda Mann
Bob, Claire, Wendy and Jay
Bob Riddle, my dad's cousin, lives in Oregon with his wife Claire. They sent me a note and special material for Lillie's quilt square. The square can be cut from a pillow case that their children Wendy and Jay used as children. It is especially meaningful because...although we rarely see one another now...Jay, Wendy, Erik and I spent some wonderful vacations together as young children. Family is a wonderful gift that Lillie will receive and this quilt piece will be a reminder of that!
