Winonah and her grandchildren

Winonah sent fabric squares for each of her grandchildren. Each square has a note/wish attached, the child's name and age. I am so thankful for these squares...they were so thoughtful.

Sandra from Maine

Sandra sent fabric with fairies on it because she includes fairies in all of her quilts. A great way to include a peice of her in the quilt.

Tom and AJ Lutrell

Not only did AJ send two beautiful fabrics from she and her husband, she sent a beautiful poem. Though I had heard it before, it seemed even more special in this new context.

Ashley, Derek and Jasper Donovan

These squares are very representative of the Donovan family. The dogs are special because Derek and Ashley are huge dog lovers. The money fabric is for Jasper...Lillie's monkey cousin! The spools are representative of Ashley's love of quilting, but also of our grandmother, Margarett Alexander, who was an amazing seamstress. Finally, the clover is for good luck, and is representative of a wonderful memory of Miller Travis and our late uncle John Matthews.

Holly and her granddaughter Johanna Rose

Holly sent fabric she has used on her granddaughter, Johanna's quilt!

Kathy Gleichauf and Family

Kathy sent fabric for she and her husband (they are from New York so the apple fabric and Lilac fabric are from them). She also sent fabric that each of her granchildren picked out. I was very excited to have the children put so much thought into this!

Amanda from North Carolina

The note and fabric from Amanda are wonderful. The dots because she likes dots and the butterflies because "every little girl deserves a quilt with butterflies on it!"

"Miss Mommy" and her cats

I
This is another of Ashley's quilting friends. I am unsure what her real name is, but the sentiments and fabric are cute.

Marlene from Finksberg, MD

Marlene is a friend of Ashley's who so kindly contributed to Lillie's quilt.

Kathy from PA

Kathy sent fabric for 3 of her family members...and wishes from each one.

Trish from Australia

trish is a freind of my cousin Ashley's who quilts. She sent this great peice of fabric from "down under" that is the same fabric that she used in quilts for her own family.

Depp Alexander

Depp, like other two year olds, has his favorite cartoon characters! His very favorite is Elmo so, of course, his fabric is Elmo...in girl colors of course!

Tipton Alexander

Tipton is quite the sports enthusiast, so the sport themed fabric is a wonderful representation of his personality. Tipton and his brother Sims asked their children's group at church to pray for their cousin in China. I am so thankful that Lillie will have such a loving family to spend time with!

John and Holly Alexander

Sims Alexander

Robert Sims is quite the fashion icon...and one of his favorite looks is shorts and boots! What better square to represent one of may favorite 6 year olds1

Uncle Bud and Aunt Zara

Some of my fondest memories of childhood include Aunt Zara, Uncle Bud and time together on Uncle Bud's farm. I know once Lillie arrives, The Alexander part of her family will introduce her to the joy of horses!

Aunt Anna and Uncle Bobby Day

The blue glove Aunt Anna gave was her majorette glove when she was in high school. The fabrics are part of the tree skirts for Aunt Anna's "theme" trees. She and I used to spend time together each month decorating for the holidays, so they are a special reminder of family time together.

Kelly Wood

Judy Lyons

Judy is a freind of Ashley's and a fellow quilter.

Mary Lou Elmer

This cute square is from one of Ashley's quilting buddies.

The Woodley Family

These Squares are from two parts of the family...two in texas and four in New Mexico. It hink it is sweet that Elaine included her grand daughters. I am every thankful.

Brandy M.

Brandy is part of Ashley's quilting group.

Cheryl Lutton

Cheryl is a part of Ashley's quilting family.

Nola Peterson

Nola is part of my cousin Ashley's quilting family.

Pattie Christenson

Pattie is also part of Ashley's quilting family. The block she made is a beautiful peiced ladybug. Ladybugs are believed to be good luck among adoptive families. I know I am lucky to have this wonderful square!

Lisa Nikkel

Lisa is another of Ashley's fellow quilters. I thought her message was so cute...and she is right....every little girl needs a cute pair of shoes and a matching purse!

Carol Anderson

Carol is a part of my cousin Ashley's quilting family. This group of women are all a wonderful support to each other and wonderful quilters. When Ashely told them about our 100 good wishes project, they too wanted to contribute. I am so thankful.

The McKinney/Han Family

This is another Fuling family...and it was the very first quilt peice I received!

In memory of Nana and Pop Pop Nielsen

This African fabric is one way that I have chosen to include family members that are no longer with me. This square is in memory of my dad's parents, who spent many years in Africa. Christian Nielsen and Irene Riddle were married in Sierra Leone and then lived many years on the Ivory Coast. They loved Arica and so it seems fitting for this to be a peice that is a tribute to them.

Jeff, Carrie, Riley and Josie Bruns

This beautiful square is from another supportive adoptive family.

Cindy and Art Waterman

Cindy and Art send this cute quilt square. They are waiting to adopt and were logged in the beginning this year. I hope their wait goes quickly.

The Sheldon Family

The Sheldons are another adoptive family, waiting for their daughter Hannah. They were a part of a swap through the "100 good wishes" group.
